An old vine-grower's cottage, its two vaulted cellars and its outbuildings in a walled garden less than a hundred kilometres from Paris. The facades of this robust stone building, standing near to a small village square, feature quarry stone blocks, recently repointed with lime rendering. The house and its outbuildings are laid out in a U-shape which, completed by an old wall, closes a plot spanning 600 m². Once through the tall opening of a porch way where a vehicle could be parked, this house is entered via the garden. Although the neighbouring houses are visible, they do not directly overlook this property. They form a timeless landscape of old buildings, once given over to use as barns, small village farmhouses and vine-growers' cottages. Here, grapes are no longer a source of activity, the only vestiges of which are a robust architecture, vaulted cellars and a few vines grown for domestic purposes such as can be found on this property.
