In the ancient country of Porhoët, a few kilometers from Ploërmel, an 18th-century presbytery and its remarkable oak of about 400 years. The old presbytery, built in 1734, has a rectangular plan and is two stories high, constructed of rubble slate and granite with a two-pitched slate roof. The main façade features a governed composition around a doorway topped by a transom window. The regularly spaced windows are framed with granite ashlar. Three dormer windows with triangular pediments animate the roof, while a cornice carried by wooden modillons emphasizes the roof eaves. Over time, extensions to the south and west increased the living area. The façades are pierced by small-pane windows equipped with white-painted casements. An ancillary building attached to the northern gable serves as a storeroom and notably contains an old press. The house sits within a partly wooded plot. Numerous tall trees, several conifers, and various deciduous species occupy the immediate surroundings of the house as well as the peripheral parts of the property. A clearing makes space already suitable for one or more constructions. The Local Urban Plan (PLU) specifies that the entire plot is buildable. A short distance from the house stands a stone outbuilding under a slate roof. The building includes a large volume closed by big wooden doors, complemented by an open shed on one side. A well and a small shelter are located to the north of the property.
