On the Alabaster Coast, between Veules-les-Roses and Varengeville-sur-Mer, an 18th-century chapel transformed into a dwelling with a holiday rental. Set away from the village, at the end of a path lined with hedgerows and tall beeches, the property sits within one of the most emblematic forms of the Cauchois heritage: the clos-masure, protected from sea winds by its vegetal enclosure. The chapel is built of brick and flint rubble laid in alternating bands. The large windows, some of which are arched, are framed with brick. The chapel rises two levels under high attics pierced with skylights. The four-pitched roof is slate. On one side, a single-story extension has been added. Further on, a thatched cottage with timber-framed elements on a rubble basement has been converted into a dwelling.
