This 19th-century mansion, whose original structure has been stabilised and then transformed by a renovation of surgical precision. This residence bears witness to a heritage in flux, creating a dialogue between the historical fabric of the 19th century and the graphic tension of contemporary design. The Continuity of Line The architecture is part of the rhythm of the Languedoc landscape, on the edge of the urban world and the ponds. Heritage forms the raw material of the project, where the density of the historic walls contrasts with the clarity of contemporary volumes. The Geometry of Volumes Set within an 8,000 m² site, the residence is organised around a landscaped park where centuries-old trees form an organic structure. This layer of vegetation frames the views and creates an acoustic richness which, through its density, defines the sensory boundary of the estate. The Art of Transition The architectural design redistributes the 500 m² of living space according to a logic of fluidity. The reception area, a vast 80 m² space, is organised into sequences of light where the living rooms and dining room flow seamlessly into one another. Beneath majestic high ceilings, the original fireplaces and textures remain as historical anchors, engaging in dialogue with furniture of clean, sharp lines.
